Susan Vaughen, ARNP, MSN, CNM

Susan Phillips Vaughen received nursing education from the University of Pennsylvania, Daytona Beach Community College and Florida Southern College. She completed her nurse-midwifery degree at the Institute of Midwifery, Women and Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was awarded Certified Nurse-Midwife status from the American College of Nurse-Midwives in 2002. Susan received a Master’s of Science degree in Midwifery from Philadelphia University in 2003.

She has many years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse; was a founding member of Parentcraft, a local organization that advocates for women and infants; and was a breastfeeding consulting with the La Leche League.

Susan is passionate about the midwifery philosophy that provides physical care along with emotional and social support to each woman and her family.
